Memorial Day

Memorial Day

Ok, so this is a little late. But in my defense, I have been working on the yearbook, putting up a pool, etc. As I was going through yearbook pics, I found the Memorial Day pictures I took when Brandi, Savannah and I went to Rozann's camper at Yogi Bear Campground. There was a carnival there for the weekend, David cooked some delicious food on the grill (loved the pineapple), we went to see the band for a little while, and sat around the fire drinking. We had a great time and look forward to many more camp-outs! I love it there! Thanks Rosie for inviting us.

Pooling Around

The day began with 3 tons of sand being delivered and dumped on the street. In the middle there was a large thunderstorm. It ended with Savannah sleeping on the couch. It just seemed better to tell the story with the pictures. The pool went up on Sunday, June 8. The first official day of swimming was June 10.

Kindergarten Graduation

Savannah's Graduation was on June 3, 2008. She had a reading during Mass and was awesome! She had a busy, busy year and learned many new things. She told us she is ready to graduate and go on to 1st Grade, and believe me, she is! I still can't believe she is going into 1st grade. But even though she is finished with school for the year, the rest of the students are not and that means I still have to go to work. And she has to come with me. But only for three days because Brandi finishes on Friday, and Savannah can stay with her after that. And even though she is done with school for now, she is excited to go to work with me. She told me she will walk around my room and tell the kids what to do. Who knows, maybe they will listen to her. God knows they don't listen to me.

Spring brings things new

I am only assuming that it is spring by the date. The weather tells me otherwise! I am not happy I am still wearing sweaters and that the heat is still kicking on in the house! With May has come lots of exciting things. Tee ball is going well. SO far we have only had one kid get hit in the face and no other major injuries. Last game I don't think I had to tell anyone to put their mitt ON their hand and not in the air or on the ground. Savannah graduates soon, June 3rd! MY BABY!!! It just seems like yesterday she was running around in a onesie and a diaper! ALSO...she has her first loose tooth. At first I was excited for her, then sad for me. I like all those little teeth. I remember it took her so long to actually get any baby teeth, then I was sad because I liked her little gummed smile! And now it happens again...I like those little teeth. I told her I want to take a picture before anything falls out! I also asked her if it would be OK to ask the tooth fairy if I could keep the first tooth. She said she didn't think she would mind at all. We are going to write a letter and leave it for her...we will keep you updated. She had a small dance recital which she did fantastically! That day was crazy...we had tee ball pictures at 9, a game at 12:30, a dance recital at 3:30 in Griffith, take her to hang out with cousins afterwards in Hammond, run home to Merrillville to shower, hang out with cousins in Crown Point...I was so tired I thought I had been run over! But in between the games, pictures, dancing, banquets and programs I have been attending for school, and crying over babies growing older I have managed to do a few things around my house like plant flowers and get a screen door installed (ahhhh fresh air). We are getting ready to buy a shed so we can clear out the crazy garage!

I look forward to the summer...no papers to grade, no hot gyms to be in, no stress on the agenda! I look forward to Savannah, the pool, Arkansas, Florida, Buddha, Great America, BooBoo, Indiana Beach, camping, and most of all my daughter!
