I am only assuming that it is spring by the date. The weather tells me otherwise! I am not happy I am still wearing sweaters and that the heat is still kicking on in the house! With May has come lots of exciting things. Tee ball is going well. SO far we have only had one kid get hit in the face and no other major injuries. Last game I don't think I had to tell anyone to put their mitt ON their hand and not in the air or on the ground. Savannah graduates soon, June 3rd! MY BABY!!! It just seems like yesterday she was running around in a onesie and a diaper! ALSO...she has her first loose tooth. At first I was excited for her, then sad for me. I like all those little teeth. I remember it took her so long to actually get any baby teeth, then I was sad because I liked her little gummed smile! And now it happens again...I like those little teeth. I told her I want to take a picture before anything falls out! I also asked her if it would be OK to ask the tooth fairy if I could keep the first tooth. She said she didn't think she would mind at all. We are going to write a letter and leave it for her...we will keep you updated. She had a small dance recital which she did fantastically! That day was crazy...we had tee ball pictures at 9, a game at 12:30, a dance recital at 3:30 in Griffith, take her to hang out with cousins afterwards in Hammond, run home to Merrillville to shower, hang out with cousins in Crown Point...I was so tired I thought I had been run over! But in between the games, pictures, dancing, banquets and programs I have been attending for school, and crying over babies growing older I have managed to do a few things around my house like plant flowers and get a screen door installed (ahhhh fresh air). We are getting ready to buy a shed so we can clear out the crazy garage!
I look forward to the summer...no papers to grade, no hot gyms to be in, no stress on the agenda! I look forward to Savannah, the pool, Arkansas, Florida, Buddha, Great America, BooBoo, Indiana Beach, camping, and most of all my daughter!

Savannah's New Ride
Every time we went to Toys R Us, Savannah would sit in the Cadillac Escalade by Power Wheels. She would look at the price tag and say it was too expensive, but she just wanted to sit in it. Well, Brandi, Savannah and I were there a few weeks ago and she did the same thing. I thought about my Tax Rebate check, and decided that rather than paying off some bills (let's face it, I will owe someone money for the rest of my life and she will only be a kid once) I would get her the car for her Kindergarten Graduation. She couldn't believe it when I told her. I was shocked when Brandi didn't object. She said that I would do whatever I wanted anyway, so why object. So when the check came in, we went to get the car. We took both our cars because I figured we would need as much room as we could get. I put the seat down in my backseat and we stuffed the car (out of the box) into the trunk. We had to tie down the trunk lid and drive home like that. So take a moment now to picture that caravan driving home.
A Monte Carlo with a pink Escalade sticking out of the trunk being closely followed by a Sunfire. Can you say hillbilly? It's amazing how stupid we will make ourselves look for our kids. Needless to say she LOVES the car and drives it all the time. All in all, it was money well spent.
I told her since she got the car before her graduation, she better actually graduate. She looked at me like I was crazy and said she learned everything from Kindergarten. Why wouldn't she graduate? Funny, funny, kid!
